Q: Can the fitting be disassembled after hot melt fusion?
A: Standard all-plastic hot melt joints become molecularly fused after cooling and cannot be disassembled. Union-type fittings can be disassembled, but the union position must not be embedded in walls; an inspection opening should be reserved.
Q: What is the optimal hot melt temperature?
A: The standard working temperature is 260°C. Too high a temperature causes material degradation and diameter reduction; too low a temperature results in weak fusion and subsequent leakage.
Q: Can PPR pipes and fittings of different S series be mixed?
A: They can be joined by hot melt if the outer diameter is the same, but the overall system pressure rating shall be based on the lowest rated component.
Q: Can brass insert fittings be used for hot water long term?
A: DZR (dezincification resistant) brass fittings are suitable for long-term hot water use. Ordinary brass is not recommended for prolonged high-temperature hot water service.
Q: What precautions are needed when hot melting fittings with brass inserts?
