The Green PPR Female Thread Elbow is a standard 90° transition fitting for cold and hot water supply terminals. One end features a PPR hot-melt socket for pipe connection, while the other end has a thickened brass female thread for connecting terminal devices such as faucets. Manufactured by integrated copper-plastic injection molding, it combines the hygienic and temperature-resistant advantages of PPR with the sealed connection of metal.

Product Advantages

1. Copper-Plastic Integrated Anti-Pullout, No Leakage Over Long-Term Use
The embedded thickened brass insert features annular barbs and grooves on the outer wall. During injection molding, it forms a mechanical interlock with PPR, preventing loosening or separation under thermal cycling. The threads are standard, ensuring high compatibility with faucets and valves. Sealing performance remains stable when used with sealing materials.

2. Food-Grade Material, Safe for Drinking Water
Made from 100% virgin PP-R raw material, non-toxic, odorless, non-scaling, and with no leaching. Meets drinking water hygiene standards. Suitable for both cold and hot water, including direct drinking water and domestic hot water.

3. Standard 90° Angle, Strong Adaptability for Concealed Installation
Precise bending angle for neat pipe turning. After concealed installation, the end face is flush with the finished wall surface, facilitating aligned installation of faucets and sanitary ware, avoiding crooked, protruding, or recessed defects.

Installation Instructions

1. Cutting & Heating: Make a clean, burr-free cut and clean the surfaces. Heat the fusion welder to 260°C and heat the pipe and socket simultaneously. Control heating time according to the pipe size.
2. Inserting & Cooling: Insert straight into the socket, keeping coaxial without rotation. Do not twist or pull. Let it cool naturally after full insertion.
3. Threaded Connection: Wrap Teflon tape or apply sealant on the male thread of the metal fixture. Tighten steadily with a wrench. Do not over-tighten.
4.Concealed Install & Testing: For concealed installation, the end face should be flush with the finished wall. After all work is completed, conduct a hydrostatic test at 1.5 times the working pressure. Keep pressure for 30 minutes. Acceptance can be granted if there is no leakage.

Storage Guidelines

1. Store in a cool, ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight to prevent PPR material from aging and becoming brittle.
2. Stack flat with controlled stacking height to avoid socket deformation from pressure or thread damage from impact.
3. Keep away from heat sources, fire, and strong corrosive chemicals to protect the brass coating and PPR body.
4. Protect from dust and debris to prevent foreign objects from entering the socket or threads, which could affect sealing performance.

FAQ

Q: What sizes are R1/2" and R3/4"? Are they compatible with household faucets?

A: R1/2" is 1/2" (4 fen), R3/4" is 3/4" (6 fen). Both are standard sizes for household faucets and angle valves, fully compatible.

Q: Will the brass insert leak from thermal expansion and contraction on hot water pipes?

A: No. Qualified products feature anti-pullout barbs that lock tightly with PPR. Normal thermal cycling won't cause leaks. Avoid over-tightening during installation to prevent stress cracks.

Q: Can the green PPR female elbow be fused to white PPR pipes?

A: Yes. As long as both comply with PPR standards, color doesn't affect fusion performances, only the appearance differs.

Q: If the threaded end is buried in the wall and gets stripped later, what then?

A: Quality brass rarely strips. If it does, use a thread repair kit of the matching sizes, no need to break the wall.
