Since the early 1980s, the country has vigorously promoted the application of UPVC pipes, formulating a series of policies, systems, and standards, and accumulating considerable experience. Today, it possesses comprehensive product standards, testing method standards and means, and construction engineering technical specifications, thus unifying product specifications and quality indicators and achieving product interchangeability. This indicates that the development of PVC water supply pipes has entered a mature stage, with both product quality and construction quality guaranteed, ensuring the effectiveness of PVC water supply pipes.
However, the international standard for PE pipes for water supply (ISO 4427) was not officially published until 1996. my country drafted the national standard GB/T13663 in 1999, referencing ISO 4427, and implemented it in 2000. However, the standards and engineering technical specifications for PE pipe fittings are still under development and improvement.
